FAQ
Yes! See our dropshipping service at www.puckator-dropship.co.uk.
Where can I see your prices?
Firstly to view wholesale prices on the site you must register, this only takes 2 minutes, you will be able to see prices right away, and we do not pass on your details to anyone else. Follow this link to register.
Do I need a username and password to access wholesale prices?
No, you only need your email address to register, you create a password when you register.
Why are there two or three prices displayed?
The first price is our regular wholesale price, the cheaper price is the bulk price which can be anything up to 25% cheaper than our standard price. The reason we can offer this cheaper price for bulk purchases is that the bulk quantities are whole or half cartons of goods, it doesn't need to be broken down and saves us a lot of time in packing and dispatching. Don’t worry if you don't order the bulk quantity, our standard wholesale price still allows a good profit margin, more details are below.
Do your prices include VAT?
No, all our prices are excluding VAT. All countries outside the EU will not be charged VAT.
How much is shipping?
Shipping is free if you spend £100 plus VAT for delivery to the UK; for all orders under £100 a charge is applied (minimum order is £75 ex vat). Other delivery charges apply for other locations, please go to our Delivery Page for full shipping information.
How long will I need to wait for delivery?
Delivery of a wholesale order usually takes between 5 and 7 working days, if you pay our priority delivery fee, you will get your order within 2 working days. If you are not in when your parcels are delivered, the courier will leave you a card, with instructions on how to get your order re- delivered.
Do you have a minimum order?
Yes, our minimum order is £75 plus VAT for UK, 130 Euros for Europe and $175 for the US and Canada.
Are the products displayed on the website in stock?
Everything on our website should be in stock, and real time stock levels can be seen on the site, however sometimes orders do cross with each other and we are unable to mark the items out of stock in time. If this happens we will send you everything we have and we only charge your card with the items we send you.
Can I sell your licensed products worldwide?
At Puckator we offer a range of fully licensed products with brand partners such as Aardman, Pusheen and VW. These products are mainly licensed for sale to Europe and the UK, although not exclusively. If you are interested in selling our licensed products outside of the UK or EU, please contact us to check eligibility.
What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards as payment, and if you want your order quickly, then this is the best way to buy. We are also happy to accept cheques and Bank Transfers, and if you have 3 Giftware Trade References, you can set up a 30 day account, although your first order must be proforma.
Is my payment secure?
Yes, our site and payment system is 100% secure, however if you don't want to enter your card details online then just select the cheque option and add a note in the special instructions box, then we will call you for your card details.
How will my order be packed?
Most of our Gift Lines are individually boxed, however some are packed in inner carton quantities of anything from 2 to 24.
What do we do about breakages or damaged items?
We sell giftware, so it is inevitable that the odd piece of merchandise can get broken in transit. If this happens please email us at customerservices@puckator.co.uk within 14 days of delivery with your order details including the product codes, quantity and images of the damages. Please note: Images of any damaged items will be required for a refund to be made.
What mark up can I realistically add to the wholesale prices?
It really depends on your overheads, however the general rule is to multiply the wholesale price ex VAT by 2.35. For example a product with a wholesale price of £0.85 would retail at £1.99, or a product at £2.15 ex VAT would retail for £4.99. Obviously if you are buying Giftware at the volume quantity you will make a greater margin, or be able to pass on discounts to your customers.
USA - Specific FAQ
What is VAT?
VAT is “Value Added Tax”; this tax runs at 20% of the value of goods, very similar to sales tax in the US. The good news for US customers, and any other country outside the European Union, is the British Government doesn’t charge you VAT, and after you place your order, you will see the VAT box is empty.
How much is shipping?
Shipping can vary a great deal depending on the goods you order, for example if you order $1000 of wind chimes the shipping will be quite low, however if you order $500 of garden statues and furniture (i.e. heavy and bulky items) the shipping will be high. If you are worried about placing an order, without knowing the shipping costs, remember we will email you with the cost of shipping before we ship the goods, if you are not happy with the cost, you can cancel the order and we will not debit your card with anything.
Are there any taxes to pay when I accept delivery of the goods?
Sometimes US customs will charge taxes on goods imported, although it seems to be fairly infrequent, if you do get charged tax it will be around 6%, although if you have a Tax ID, you should be able to claim it back.
What are "cm's" - and how do I know what that is in inches?
Centimetres (or "cm's") are roughly half the length of an inch (actually there are 2.54 of them to the inch).
