The gift industry is an ever-evolving space that requires constant innovation and creativity to stay relevant. Trade shows are an excellent way to showcase the latest and greatest products to our customers, as well as a great opportunity for building lasting relationships with them. Puckator’s 2023 gift trade show season was a resounding success, with several notable events taking place around the world. In this article, we will discuss some of the best shows in terms of new customers and orders and mention our exciting news for the Gift of the Year 2023 award.
The Spring Fair in Birmingham, UK, is one of the biggest gift trade shows in the world. The fair took place from the 5th to the 8th of February 2023, and saw an impressive turnout of exhibitors and visitors alike. The event featured over 2,000 exhibitors and attracted more than 50,000 visitors. This year’s Spring Fair was particularly successful for us, as we had the opportunity to highlight our latest products to a wide audience and make valuable connections within the industry. We have gotten a particularly good response from buyers that appreciate the latest licensed products, especially the coming soon Moomin range, as well as the new in-house ranges.
Another standout event was the Intergift trade show in Madrid, Spain, which took place from the 1st to the 5th of February 2023. The event is a leading trade show in the Spanish gift and home decor industry, attracting over 1,000 exhibitors and 40,000 visitors from around the world. Intergift was particularly successful for us, the Valencian team met lots of interested customers that appreciated a wide variety of products, but especially the toys and the Relaxeazzz travel pillow range.
Toys, Stationery and Relaxeazzz travel pillows were also a hit at the HOMI trade show in Milan, which took place from the 26th to the 29th of January 2023. The fair attracted over 521 brands and 20.598 visitors, making it one of the biggest trade shows in the gift industry. The Italian team made lots of good connections who showed great interest in our product range.
We must mention the Toy Fair that took place in Nuremberg from the 1st to the 5th of February 2023. This international trade show is the world’s biggest toy fair in the world. This event was particularly successful in terms of generating new international leads.
As well as being a successful trade show season for the industry, we are thrilled to have been nominated for the Gift of the Year 2023 award. Our Minecraft Fine Tip Pens, the Festive Gingerbread Cat Playhouse, and the Christmas Reversible Squidgly were all shortlisted for the Gift of the Year 2023, but the Cat Playhouse has been made the finalist in the Festive & Occasions category. We look forward to the awards ceremony in May 2023 and we hope to replicate the win we had in 2020 with the Relaxeazzz Travel Pillow.
